Choreo. IIA : Dance Transitions II


Course Overview

this is an intermediate class

For students who have taken two or more of the Polyrhythmic Combos, Multibeat Combos, Dance Flair Combos , Split Direction Combos , Behind the Back Combos or Wallplanes Combos classes (or have equivalent knowledge), this 4 week class will help you incorporate the new combinations and moves from multiple concentrations into one seamless performance by working on effectively transitioning between these moves. The class focuses on expanding artists ability to turn and transition by creating combinations of moves that teach transitions between a variety of moves, including the following moves:

If you struggle with integrating some of the moves above, this class is for you. Even if you don't know all the moves, the class offers substitutions for the moves as necessary.

Prerequisite

Students must already know the following moves:

  • buzzsaw
  • weaves over and underhand
  • pinwheels clockwise, counter clockwise, inward and outward
  • hip reels clockwise, counter clockwise, inward and outward
  • thread the needle
  • butterfly over and underhand
  • stalling with the left and right hands individually
