Join us for a fun 70 minute class introducing you to the joy of poi, an exercise, meditation and art form focused on helping you gain body awareness, balance, coordination, muscle development, freedom of motion, self expression and a whole lot of fun doing it. For your safety, we don't use fire in this session.

This class meets for 70 minutes during which we will introduce you to the fundamental elements of poi movement. Our classes are small (approximately 8 students) so everyone get personalized attention. The session will include:

• meet and greet - so everyone feels comfortable playing and practicing together
• demonstration of poi and movements we'll learn
• warm ups
• introduction of the Flowology Mindset, the foundation of our work
• drills
• new moves
• individual work
• practice
• review

We'll provide poi for you to borrow for the night so all you need to do is dress in comfortable clothing with no strings hanging and bring a positive attitude designed to have fun and try something new.

HomeRun Members can purchase as many coupons as they like for this class so they can give them to their friends (though each person may only redeem one coupon). We can schedule a special session for groups of 6 or more so contact us if you're interested in that option. Weekend sessions are also available for groups on a limited basis and, if enough people request them, we will add a few sessions on the weekend as well, however, 98% of our sessions are done Monday-Thursday at either 6:30 or 8 pm in our SoMa studio.

Registration is filled on a first-come, first-served basis so this will assist you in getting exactly the session you’re looking for with all the people you want in the class.

As a special "try before you" buy opportunity, students who attend one of these sessions - HomeRun, Zozi, Savvy Avenue, Joffer, LivingSocial and Groupon Coupon users as well as full paying students -- will receive $60 off the Beginner Poi Moves class or Beginner Poi Fire Dancing Boot Camp program if you decide you want to join these classes the night you redeem your coupon. Please note for ongoing sessions, students will need to have their own practice poi which we sell for $30.
