Temple of Poi presents our (irregularly scheduled) indoor play time and fire jam! Our playspace is dedicated to supporting the Flowology Mindset™ and Temple of Poi fundamental tenant: Express yourself fully and completely until and unless you take away someone else's ability to express themselves fully and completely.

Anyone willing to participate in the open spin while embracing the Temple of Poi Flowology Mindset™, at least for the duration of the play time:
- leave your judgment outside the door
- choose language consciously and make it empowering
- compare yourself to yourself, past to present, rather than comparing yourself to others

flow rEvolution: rEvolving your flow through toys! is...

The outdoor gathering is the first wednesday of the month as a fire jam where we can freestyle and play. Location is given via email on the Temple of Poi mailing list.

This indoor gathering happens the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month as a play time where we welcome artists/meditationers/practioners of (non-fire) toys including:

• poi
• hoop
• staff
• juggling
• contact juggling
• ball training
• flagging
• any other toys you bring!

While music is playing, you can meet, gather, watch, listen, learn, teach, share, experiment, have fun and enjoy playing with each other in this spacious and open warehouse.

In addition, there will also be a Temple of Poi Instructor on site available for one on one education at no additional cost beyond the entrance fee. Throughout the evening, the instructor will work with seven people one on one for 10 minutes each. The time slots are spread throughout the evening and participants can sign up for a slot at the door as they arrive.

7:50 - 8:00
8:15 - 8:25
8:30 - 8:40
8:45 - 8:55
9:00 - 9:10
9:15 - 9:25

In addition, Isa "GlitterGirl" Isaacs, founder of the Temple of Poi, will be available for one time slot from:

10:00 - 10:10

Peer Performance Preview

Some evenings from 10:20 pm, until the end of the night, there will be an "Open Stage" -- much like an open Mic -- where performers from beginners to professionals can get on stage and strut their stuff. In an effort to support the comfort of our newer performers, performers will be arranged so that the least experienced artists begin the open stage followed by progressively more skilled artists. This is a great opportunity to explore performing in a safe, judgment free environment.

After each performer does their piece (pieces must be under 3 minutes), the audience will offer the artist feedback on their performance. When offering feedback, please be brief, specific, constructive, open, honest, and supportive. When receiving feedback, please recognize it is information to assist you in your growth, not an attack on who you are as a person.

To sign up for a slot during the Peer Performance Preview section of the night, please email flowrEvperf@templeofpoi.com with the following information:

• Name
• Tool
• Skill level (beginner, intermediate, semi-pro, professional)
• Performance duration (must be under 3 minutes!)

This is a leave no trace event -- Please be respectful of the space!!!

To cover our costs, we're asking $5-$20 sliding scale paid at the door. No one turned away for lack of funds. This event is non profit -- all proceeds pay for the instructor's time and space rental as well as future events like this.

Note: You must sign up at the event to get a time slot with an instructor. Sign up with the door person and meet the instructor at the door at your appointment time. One time slot per student per evening. All slots filled first come first served.
